The following terms of use govern all use of the website https://www.rdlg.gov.tt and all content, services and products available at or through the website (collectively referred to as “the Site”) of the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (“MRDLG”). The Site is offered subject to your acceptance, without modification, of all the terms of use contained herein and all other operating rules, policies and procedures that may be published from time to time on the Site (collectively referred to as the “Agreement”).

Please read this Agreement carefully before accessing or using the Site. By accessing or using any part of the Site, you agree to become bound by the terms of use in this Agreement. If you do not agree to all the terms of use in this Agreement, then you may not access the Site or use any services contained in the Site.

The MRDLG authorises you to view and download the materials on the Site for your personal, non-commercial use only, provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained in the original materials on any copies of the materials. You may not modify the materials on the Site in any way or reproduce or publicly display, perform, or distribute or otherwise use them or any part of them for any public or commercial purpose without the written permission of the MRDLG. For the purposes of this Agreement, any use of these materials or any part thereof on any other website or networked computer environment for any purpose is prohibited. The materials on the Site are copyrighted and any unauthorized use of any materials on the Site may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws. If you breach any of part of this Agreement, your authorization to use the Site shall automatically terminate and you must immediately destroy any downloaded or printed materials.

If you download software from the Site inclusive of computer-coded instructions and data (collectively referred to as “the Software”), use of the Software is subject to the permission of the owners of the Software and/or any licence terms in any software licence agreement that may accompany or may be provided with the Software. You may not download or install the Software until you have read and accepted the terms of the software licence agreement where one exists.

Other than personally identifiable information, which is covered under the MRDLG’s Privacy Policy (which is available on our homepage and at the bottom of every https://www.rdlg.gov.tt web page), any material, information or other communication a user of the Site transmits or post to the Site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary (collectively referred to as “Communications“). The MRDLG has retained unlimited rights to such Communications and may use it for any purpose within our legal capacity. The MRDLG and its designees will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use the Communications and all data, images, sounds, text, and other things embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes. Users are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from the Site any unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or other material that would violate any law.

Links to third party website on the Site are provided solely as a convenience to the user. If you use these links, you will leave the Site. The MRDLG has not reviewed all of these third party websites and does not control nor is responsible for any of these third party websites or their content. Thus, the MRDLG does not endorse or make any representations about them, or any information, software or other products or materials found there, or any results that may be obtained from using them. If you decide to access any of the third party websites linked to the Site, you do this entirely at your own risk. If you go to a third party website from the Site, you are advised to read the Terms of Use of that website to ensure that you consent to and follow their protocols. You are also advised to read the Privacy Policy on that website.

While the MRDLG makes every effort to keep https://www.rdlg.gov.tt up to date, the MRDLG does not provide any guarantees, conditions or warranties that the information on the Site will be:

• Secure;
• Accurate;
• Complete; or
• Free from bugs or viruses.


The MRDLG does not publish advice on the Site. It is advisable that you get professional or specialist advice before doing anything on the basis of the content provided on the Site or any third party website.
The MRDLG is not liable for any loss or damage that may occur from using the Site or any third party websites that may be linked to or from the Site, including but not limited to:

• any direct, indirect or consequential losses;

• any loss or damage caused by the inability to use the Site and/or any third party websites that are linked to or from it.

This disclaimer applies in circumstances where the loss or damage was foreseeable, arose in the normal course of things or you advised the MRDLG that such loss or damage may occur. This includes but is not limited to the loss of your:

The Site may contain legal notices elsewhere that relate to other aspects of use of the Site. The MRDLG is not liable for any failure to comply with these terms of use because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
The MRDLG may decide not to exercise or enforce any right available to us under these terms of use but reserves the right to decide to exercise or enforce that right at a later date. The MRDLG’s decision to not exercise a right on one occasion shall not be construed as though the MRDLG has automatically waived such right on any other occasion.
If any of these terms of use are held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, the remaining terms of use will still apply

The MRDLG may revise the content of this Agreement at any time by updating this posting under our Terms of Use. You are advised to visit this page from periodically to review the current terms of use as they are binding on all users of the Site. Continuing to use the Site after the terms of this Agreement have been updated shall be deemed as your acceptance of the updated terms. Certain provisions of this Agreement may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages on the Site.

This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the substantive Laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Any controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
